Air Mikisew has been serving the aviation needs of Northern Alberta for over 27 years. We fly a fleet of 10 aircraft, consisting of two British Aerospace Jetstream 31s, a Beechcraft 99, a King Air 200 , two Piper Navajos, a Cessna Caravan, and one each of a Cessna 185, 206, and 207 in our CARS 703/704 operations. We employ over 60 people including pilots, maintenance personnel, paramedics, nurses, and support staff.

We transport over 25,000 passengers annually on our daily scheduled service between Edmonton, Fort McMurray and Fort Chipewyan, Alberta. The company boasts a 93% on-time performance record and a 99% dispatch rate.

Charter operations add an additional 2,000 flights annually to numerous destinations. The company flies a variety of missions, including executive charters, government forestry flights, crew relocations and freight.

Aeromedical services are provided to Alberta’s Ministry of Health Services. The company’s Beech King Air 200 is specially equipped to carry two patients and our own medical staff. Over 400 medical evacuations have been flown annually for the past 15 years.

Air Mikisew has been involved in flying float and amphibious aircraft for over 25 years in the rugged Canadian North. Experienced company personnel routinely carry-out flight operations to remote locations. Float missions may include carrying groups of fishermen to one of our eleven fly-in fishing camps, dropping off hunters to a wilderness camp, or a group of outdoor enthusiasts and canoes escaping for a trip down one of the many waterways in the region.

Forest fighting flights are carried out during the summer months, carrying supplies and personnel to fire engulfed areas in the region.
